My journey in IT started back in 1998, when I earned my first certification through the Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) program, I remember vividly how nervous I was for the exam and finally the excitement when I passed. What began as a technical milestone quickly turned into a long-term commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
Over the years, I expanded my expertise across Microsoft technologies, networking, and security. Certifications have always played a role in sharpening my technical foundation, but more importantly, they supported my ability to design, secure, and operate complex enterprise environments.
In 2025, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, graduating with highest honors, marking a significant milestone in formalizing years of hands-on experience with academic depth and research-driven insights. It just took me 50 years, but hey, here we are!
In 2026, I was honored to be recognized as a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) with a double recognition in the areas of “Identity and Access Management” & “Windows Server” . This award is granted to professionals who actively share knowledge with the community and contribute to the ecosystem through content, speaking, and technical expertise. For me, it represents not just technical capability, but a strong commitment to giving back to the community.
While certifications such as the CISSP have helped shape my understanding of security principles, I see them as part of a broader journey. Real expertise is built by combining theory, hands-on experience, and continuous learning.
Today, my focus goes beyond collecting certifications. I invest my time in knowledge sharing through blogging, public speaking, and helping others grow in the cybersecurity field. Certifications remain a valuable foundation, but impact is created by what you do with that knowledge.
